Recent progress in implantations of differentiated cells, pluripotent stems cells, or cell sheets into non-functioning tissues suggests that the irreversible loss of viable cells can be at least partly substituted. Thick muscular tissue grafts are required to improve the loss of muscular tissues by such as an accident. Although many studies to reconstitute the thick tissue grafts is established, the limit of the thickness of the tissue is about 1 mm in these studies. Thus, we developing the key technology to fabricate a engineered muscular tissue having more than 1 cm of thickness by our original ideas in the present study. |
