Outline of research activitiesResearching relevance between Space Design and Perceptive Structure focusing on both mentally and physically comfort for human which define as “Architectural Studies of Human Science and Environment” through multiple environment.
Due to analysis discussion of the case from ancient to modern time, if we think about design method of comfortable architectural space to capture from “perception” perspective, I believe there are not only five senses but also it considered as “Physical sense design method” which is composed by 10 specific categories of integration of various complex perceptive. Furthermore to capture from “space” perspective, intermediate space such as porch(Engawa) still have an effective impact. And also if we look at water feature(Suiban), to induce complex perception is the element of both mentally and physically comfortable space design.- Desired cooperation

Outline of research activitiesThe landscapes of traditional townscapes and villages are based on the natural conditions of the land, such as climate and topography, and are the tangible manifestations of social characteristics such as history and livelihoods, which have been inherited through traditional lifestyles and local traditions. In our laboratory, we are conducting research to clarify what kind of background has formed such a beautiful landscape, and what kind of elements it is composed of, fucusing on the characteristics of the traditional architecture of the region. We are also examining methods of heritage conservation that involve local residents in order to inherit these cultural heritages to future generations.
