Japanese students spend a many years studying English but do not have many opportunities to use it in their daily lives. I am very interested in the connections between culture and language-learning and what chances can be created for students to utilise English in their university life and after. I believe that using content in the classroom is a valuable means to advance their abilities.
I do research on ESL classroom activities, the relationship between language and culture, effective and exciting language learning through watching movies.
